Mike Lambert's Personal Web Site A Christian Journey Through the Diagnosis and Treatment of
Cancer
"Just remember God is your fortress. And through him
anything is possible."
On Tuesday 16th
August 2011, I was diagnosed with multiple cancers. On Thursday 25th
August 2011, my diagnosis was changed to offer me a realistic hope of a
cure. I felt the need to
capture my thoughts in this blog. Although primarily for me, this may
prove to be helpful to other people who find themselves in a similar
situation. Some of these entries will be very boring, little more than a
diary of activities. I would like to think that others will have more
significant content.
These blog entries unashamedly reflect my Christian Faith and trust in God.
Every day, I am feeling more normal.
Walking is getting easier and thanks to lots of green stuff (cabbage,
lettuce and spinach), my digestive system is getting more normal.
I can now walk up to around 2 miles, but end up feeling very stiff (just
as if I had a good workout at the gym).
I have 15 sessions of radiotherapy scheduled to kill off any residual
cancer cells in my pelvis.
Points for Prayer
Thanks for a miraculous recovery.
Continued recovery of strength in my legs.
Uneventful course of radio-therapy.
Others that we know who are going through difficult times.
Apologies to those who have been looking for new blog
entries. I am working on some pages to describe how I am
gradually returning to a normal life, but the pressures of
normal life are intruding and I don't have much time on my
hands.
I will cover the impact of the course of radio-therapy.
